Sophie Karbjinski

»Close your eyes. Fall in love. Stay there« –Rumi.

Sophie is a yogini, mystic, performance artist and embodied spiritual researcher. She grew up as a child actress. Alongside a BA in Political Science and Philosophy (Bryn Mawr College, USA) with a concentration in Peace, Justice and Human Rights, she has been studying and practising yoga since the age of 14. At 16, Sophie joined her first Ashtanga retreat with Christine Hoar. At 20, she knew she wanted to share the ancient wisdom teachings of yoga and has since completed 1000+ hrs of teacher training, including the 300hr Jivamukti Teacher Training in spring 2022 and the 500hr Jivamukti Teacher Apprentice Program (JTAP) in 2023. Her wish is to inspire others toward more authenticity and rawness, to become the most fully expressed versions of themselves, realising the pure and joyful nature of their true Self. Sophie teaches from her own mystical experiences of consciousness and compassion.

Jivamukti Open 75’ by Sophie

A Jivamukti class is built around its 5 tenets: ahimsa (kindness), asana (seat or connection to Earth), bhakti (devotion), shastra (study of ancient scriptures) and nada (sound). You will be carefully guided through powerful breath-led vinyasa sequences aswell as steady holds. In each class you will chant, get philosophical input from the ancient yogic scriptures, meditate and relax after practice.
